At least 10 people including four security personnel, a woman and child were killed and 23 others sustained injuries in a suicide attack on Saturday in Quetta.

According to details, security personnel convoy comprising a truck and two vehicles was on a routine patrolling on the Adalat Road of Quetta city when a bicycle rider targeted it, killing ten people. A large number of policemen rushed to the spot shortly after the incident and cordoned off the area. The deceased and injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital Quetta. The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack.

We are fighting a war against the monster of terror. After successful military operations in the northern areas of the country and particularly near Pak-Afghan border militants are on the run. Some of the militants have escaped to Afghanistan and some have scattered in the remote areas of the country. Militants can’t fight with our brave son of the soil in the battlefield and they are in search of attacking the soft targets, usually public gatherings. Conspiracies of anti-state elements to damage the developments under CPEC can’t be ignored.

In the recent times security forces have carried out 250 intelligence- based operations in Balochistan against the terrorists. The act of the suicide bombing is the reaction of the operations of security forces to demoralize the security forces. But terrorists are unaware that we as a nation are determined in resolve to root out terrorism from our beloved country. Government also has retreated that morale to fight terrorism is high and terrorists and their abettors would be eliminated from our land. Terrorists are unaware that we as a nation are determined to root-out terrorism from our motherland.

Cowardly attacks of terrorists can’t deter our resolve to root-out terrorism from our motherland.
