KARACHI: Central Vice President PTI and Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh has asked Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to disclose the names of killers and beneficiaries of the assassination of his great slain mother Ms Benazir Bhutto.
Talking to the media persons during the news conference on Monday along with other PTI lawmakers, Haleem Adil said that he had all sympathies with Bilawal over the brutal killing of his mother and said that he was also in deep grief and shock over her killing when her birthday was celebrated.
He said Benazir Bhutto was of the leader of high caliber and Bilawal Bhutto should seek explanation from his father and his uncles that why they had not taken any interest to trace out the real killers of Ms Bhutto. He said that top PPP leadership including Asif Ali Zardari, Yousaf Raza Gilani, Raja Pervez Asharaf and others came into power after the elections in 2008 but they never bothered to make concerted and sincere efforts to expose the hands, who were involved in her assassination.
Commenting on the recent statement of Bilawal Bhutto on the banditry on the resources and the due shares of Sindh, the Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly said that the corrupt rulers of the province had been committing the massive corruption and depriving the people of the province of the basic rights. “Who has denied the healthcare facilities in Larkana and who had deprived people of Tharparkar of safe drinking water by committing the huge malpractices in the installation of RO plants” he questioned and asked Bilawal to take the responsibility of the mess, the PPP rulers had created in the whole province during past 13 years.
Haleem Adil said that Chairman PPP during the birthday celebration of Ms Bhutto should have tendered the apology for doing nothing for the people, who had given great sacrifices for the party and voted the PPP leaders to power many times. He said that he was expecting Mr Bilawal to tender the unconditional apology over the utter failure of PPP rulers in Sindh, who, according to him, only turned the entire province in ruins, pushed the people to backwardness and forced poor people to live in subhuman conditions. He asked the PPP chairman to go to the grave of slain PPP leader and tender the apology for the mess they had created in Sindh due to their misrule.
Replying to Bilawal Bhutto regarding the closure of Sindh Public Service Commission, the PTI Vice President said that the commission had turned into Peoples Service Commission and its officials were only giving jobs to their favorites through fake tests and examinations depriving hundreds of the talented youths of the province from getting jobs on merit. He said that PPP rulers misused SPSC and got their own people selected and posted on the key posts in Sindh.
“The PPP rulers turned the commission into the slaughterhouse where the merit of the talented youngsters was butchered with the blunt knives by the blue-eyed boys of the corrupt PPP leader,” he added and asked PPP chairman to stop lauding the corrupt people like Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah. He alleged that Murad Shah had been involved in the massive corrupt practices and was facing the NAB references on Nooriabad power project, subsidy on the tractors and other scams.
Haleem Adil said that lauding the ‘great efforts’ of Murad implied that Bilawal Bhutto was getting his due shares from the public being looted by Murad Ali Shah. He said that if the federal government was not releasing the funds to Sindh from its share, Bilawal Bhutto should have raised the issue on the floor of the National assembly instead of talking about the increase in donkeys. He said that construction was in full swing with the amount of Rs 1 trillion earmarked by the federal government.
The Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly said that nothing but a cruel joke with the people PPP chairman claimed that Sindh was making progress adding he made that only PPP rulers were making progress by leaps and bounds by looting the public funds while the people of the whole Sindh were groaning under worst governance and had been denied of all the basic amenities of life.
