SCLAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) filed a petition in Supreme Court Registry Lahore to formulate a larger bench seeking dismissal of the Prime Minister on Tuesday whereas Lahore High Court (LHC) has reserved its decision over whether the petition to order Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to initiate scrutiny is hearable or not.

The stance maintained in the petition stated the prime minister has lied on the floor of the parliament and so he doesn’t qualify the Article 62, 63 whereas Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has also denied PM’s statement. They therefore insisted to form a larger bench for this highly significant matter.

On the other hand, LHC heard the petition filed for the scrutiny of parliamentary members yet again. PTI lawyer said ECP had made it clear in their review report that Returning Officers (ROs) had not performed the process of scrutiny efficiently while Article 62, 63 was ignored.

The lawyer for PTI urged the LHC to order ECP to instigate examination again.  After hearing out the arguments the court reserved its judgment over whether the petition is hearable or not.  INP
