Berlin (DPA): Bayer Leverkusen right-back Roberto Hilbert is out for six weeks after breaking his collarbone, the Bundesliga club said Thursday.
Hilbert suffered the injury in Wednesday’s 4-1 defeat to Werder Bremen and is scheduled to have an operation later Thursday.
Seventh-placed Leverkusen have lost their last three league games and face Augsburg Saturday with Hilbert joining an extensive injury list and striker Javier Hernandez suspended. Coach Roger Schmidt remains banned from the touchline for the game.
