South Indian actor Siddharth Surya Narayan is facing heavy criticism from fans for his recent controversial comments. He likened the crowd of thousands of fans who gathered at the trailer launch of “Pushpa 2: The Role” to political rallies.
Speaking about the trailer launch event held in Patna, Siddharth said, “In our country, people gather even to watch a JCB excavator. So, it is not a big deal for people to gather to watch Allu Arjun in Bihar. Here, crowd does not mean quality. If it was like that, all political parties would have succeeded. It is a matter of packets of biryani and quarter bottles.”
The statement soon went viral on social media and Siddharth was criticized by fans of “Pushpa”. Many users called him jealous and negative.
One user wrote, “He always talks negative.” Another said, “No one in the north even knows Siddharth, he’s just talking out of jealousy.”
Despite this, “Pushpa 2: The Role” has been a huge box office success. Directed by Sukmaar, the film has grossed over $94.5 million worldwide, of which $33.7 million came from the Hindi version alone.
The film delves deeper into the story of Allu Arjun’s character Pushpa Raj, which also stars Fahadh Fazal and Rashmika Mandanna.
