London: PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has signaled seriousness on the purchase of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) by the Punjab government.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while talking to the media on his arrival in London said that his daughter Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz is doing good work in Punjab. If this project is implemented, the country will get a good airline.
Nawaz Sharif said that Maryam’s concern day and night is that the poor can live easily, the PML-G is doing well both at the center and in Punjab, the economic indicators are improving and the country is returning to the track.
It should be noted that Nawaz Sharif has proposed the purchase of PIA to the Punjab government.
Earlier Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also offered to buy PIA.
The only bid received for the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was Rs 10 billion. The administration was stunned by the offer of the sole bidder.
A function was held to open the bid of Blue World City Consortium for the privatization of PIA in Islamabad. Blue World City Consortium made a bid of only 10 billion for the purchase of 60% shares of the airline.
The government had set a minimum price of Rs 85 billion 3 crore for the privatization of PIA.
