Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has stated that the debate over the constitutional amendments has evolved beyond mere numbers.
In response to a journalist’s question at the Parliament House about which constitutional amendments were being proposed, Dar replied that he does not know the specifics of the amendments since the cabinet itself was not informed.
Regarding questions about Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Dar mentioned that meetings with him were ongoing and would continue as needed.
When asked if he had ever stayed up at night addressing public welfare and inflation issues, Dar responded by pointing out that inflation had decreased to 9.6% and was expected to drop further, implying that the situation was improving.
Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar added that details about the constitutional amendments would be shared once the committee granted permission. He said that the amendments would first be presented to the cabinet before being brought to the legislature.
