RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been given conditional permission by the deputy commission of Rawalpindi to perform a power show protesting the local administration.
Imran Khan, the PTI chairman, suspended his party’s “Haqeeqi Azadi march” toward Islamabad earlier this month until February 26 in an effort to compel the administration into holding new elections.
According to the notification, which outlines 56 requirements for hosting the rally, the PTI is permitted to hold a public meeting in Rawalpindi’s Faizabad neighbourhood.
The England squad is scheduled to arrive in Rawalpindi for the three-match Test series against Pakistan on November 26, according to the DC, therefore the Faizabad should be abandoned that evening.
While the PTI leader has been forbidden from driving a sunroof car before or after the public gathering, the Imran Khan-led party has been instructed to use the designated rally routes.
According to the notification, Imran Khan must address the crowd in Rawalpindi from a bullet-proof platform.
Additionally, it forbids PTI employees and supporters from residing in Allama Iqbal Park.
In the notification, it was stated that the use of drone cameras would not be permitted and that the jalsa management would be held liable for any fatalities that occurred during the gathering.
Asad Umar, the PTI leader, stated that the Islamabad government had not authorised the helicopter landing of former prime minister Imran Khan at the Parade Ground on November 26.
He asserted on Twitter that the authorities had not given a justification for rejecting the plea and that their action would raise the dangers to Khan’s life.
