Wajahat Rauf requested the information ministry to act in response to the continuing The Legend of Maula Jatt screening controversy. The latest release from Bilal Lashari, which is the most costly film ever made in Pakistan, has been mired in a dispute between the producers and the theatres about who will receive the majority of the profits.

According to rumours, movie theatres are only paying filmmakers who satisfy the producers’ minimum 50% requirement a rate of 45%.The controversy’s detrimental effects on the movie industry at the time were addressed by the Parde Mein Rehne Do director. The information ministry, which oversees cinema, will eventually need to step in, according to Wajahat Rauf.

If not, the rule of the forest would apply, and wonderful movies like Maula Jutt would fall short of capturing its true splendour, he said.Rauf recently released a message on his social media pages outlining his opinions on the subject.

“In 70% of theatres, Maula Jutt is not compensated. Strange, gloomy, and harsh describe it “He composed. If immediate regulation is not put in place, “our movie will die a second time,” he continued, “while the administration and opposition are busy throwing mud at one another with absolutely no internet in the arts.”
