US: The former president, who is now dealing with a number of legal issues, has said he will speak on Wednesday in a New York probe into the financial dealings of his family by the state’s attorney general.

Letitia James, the attorney general for the state of New York, is looking into potential civil fraud by the Trump Organization. Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, two of Trump’s grown children, have consented to testify.

Trump has claimed that the New York inquiry is politically motivated and denied any misconduct.Tonight in New York City. I’m going to see the racist NYS prosecutor tomorrow to continue the biggest witch hunt in American history! My excellent business and I are being attacked from all sides.

Trump proclaimed, “Banana Republic!” in a late-night post on its Truth Social platform on Tuesday.
Trump Trump Organisation, which administers hotels, golf courses, and other real estate, has allegedly exaggerated asset valuations to obtain advantageous loans and understated them to obtain tax benefits, according to James.

Separately, this week saw a dramatic escalation in the federal probe into whether the former president improperly removed data from the White House because he was leaving office in January when the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raided Trump’s Florida residence.
