LAHORE: Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday has arrived in Lahore on a two-day visit to launch NA-122 by-election campaign. While talking to media after reaching Lahore, PTI chief stated that there were 53000 irregularities out of 184000 votes in NA-122 which were simply not ‘mistakes’ but rigging on massive scale.
He said that his NA-122 by-election campaign is all about to expose complicity of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), returning officers (ROs) and caretaker government in distorting public mandate.
Will deploy our people at every single polling station in NA-122 so that no one can rig elections, he added.
Imran Khan vowed to give tough time to the ruling party. He expressed hope that his party will defeat N-League umpires in NA-122 by-election.
According to party sources, PTI chairman would meet senior leadership and would also finalize election strategy. He will also inaugurate election cell in PP-148 constituency.
The by-election in NA-122 is scheduled to be held on October 11. PTI has fielded Aleem Khan as its candidate whereas Ayaz Sadiq is PML-N candidate in the constituency.
