KARACHI, Oct 28 (INP): As many as 40 suspects including activists of political parties were arrested during search in different areas of the metropolis on Tuesday in connection with murder of a police officer.
SP Chaudhry Asad said that after the murder of ASI Rahim Buksh in firing of unknown motorcyclist in Power House Chourangi locality on late Monday night, the police conducted operation in various sectors of New Karachi and Godhra locality of the city.
During search operation, 40 suspects were detained besides recovery of arms. The detainees including 16 workers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and 24 members of Sunni Tehreek were handed over to SHOs of concerned police stations for interrogation.
