QUETTA: Law enforcement agencies on Saturday claimed to have killed 34 suspected militants, including a key commander in Balochistan’s Kalat district.
One law enforcement official was killed during the gun-battle while two others sustained injuries. Addressing a press conference Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti told that a key militant commander, Abdul Nabi Bangulzai, was also among the dead.
The provincial minister said the terrorists killed during the operation were involved in Mastung incident in which twenty passengers martyred. He said huge cache of arms and ammunition, gold plates, cash and computers were also recovered from them.
The home minister, elaborated during the press conference that security forces have intensified their operations on the basis of intelligence received and added that the operation was started two days ago on intelligence tip off. ‘There is no tolerance for terrorists,’ said Bugti
All the dead militants belonged to a proscribed outfit, which was active in the area and was involved in multiple terror attacks.
