LAHORE: At least three persons were killed in separate traffic accidents due to dense fog in Punjab on Wednesday.
According to police source, dense fog has blanketed the Lahore city due to which various road accidents were reported. One man was killed when a truck hit his motorbike near Jain Mandir. The deceased was identified as Ateeq.
Another accident took place at Liton Road when a truck also crushed a motorbike rider, injuring him critically. The injured was identified as Nazim and he was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
In another accident, one person was killed and eight others injured when two passenger wagons collided with a tractor trolley in Bahawalnagar on Wednesday.
Motorway was closed for traffic as visibility dropped to zero whereas flight schedules were also affected troubling the passengers.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the fog would continue to cloud the province in the coming days.
