ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have promoted 11 Sub-Inspectors and 16 Assistant-sub-Inspectors to next ranks, a police spokesman said on Monday.
A ceremony to pin the badges to these police officials was held at Rescue 15 which was attended by SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani, SP (Industrial Area) Muhammad Aamir Niazi, ASP (Margallah) Umer Khan, DSP Arshad Ali Khokhar and other senior police officials. Those who have been elevated to the rank of Inspectors included Muhammad Abbass, Nazeer Ahmed Sipra, Mehar Mukhtar Ahmed, Muhammad Yaseen Bhutta, Muneer Hussain Jafferi, Falak Sher, Dilawar Hussain, Siraj Wali, Qasim Ali, Abbass Khan. Those promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector included Muhammad Saleem, Javed Alam, Feeroz Khan, Sajid Mehmud, Tariq Mehmud, Muhammad Feeroz, Muhammad Sharif, Iftikhar Hussain, Azam Khan, Muhammad Shafi, Liaqat Ali, Ghulam Muhammad, Muhammad Arshad, Gulfaraz Khan, Tariq Saeed and Muhammad Naseem.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani said that responsibilities of promoted officers have increased and they have to work with more dedication to accomplish their task. He hoped for their better output in future and urged them to work hard for protection to the lives and property of citizens.
The SSP also visited Rescue 15 and briefed the staff about effective policing measures. NNI
