25 outlaws arrested; cash and weapons seized

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 25 outlaws including seven gamblers from various areas of the city besides recovering stolen car, laptops, stake money and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

On a tip off, Station House Officer of  Golra  police station Inspector Haq Nawaz, Sub Inspector Muhammad Idress along with police team raided at `Sector G-12′ area and arrested six gamblers identified as Ashraf, Imran, Ashraf Sajjad, Falak Sher,Nazeer and Iqbal. Police team recovered gambling money and tools from their possession. Meanwhile, Golra Police also recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from the possession of arrested accused Muhammad Tanveer,

Ramna police team raided at sector G-12 Area and arrested 16 persons involved in immoral activities. Margalla police arrested an accused Adeel Aziz while Aabpara police team arrested accused Qasir for decanting gas in cylinders illegally.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

 

SSP Islamabad has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to accelerate their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements. NNI
