223 PAT workers held with bullet proof jackets, arms

BHAKAR/LAHORE (INP): As many as 223 workers of the Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) were arrested with bullet proof jackets and weapons in Bhakar on Sunday.

Police recovered bullet proof jackets, weapons, crackers and other items from the arrested workers.

DPO Bhakar said that cases against them were registered.Meanwhile the entry points of Lahore city were sealed on Sunday to stop the Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) workers as the party observed Yaum-e-Shuhda.

According to reports, Babu Sabu interchange on Motorway II and Ravi Bridge were sealed with containers to avoid any mishap as the party workers clashed with the police in the last few days.

Ambulances carrying patients were also struck as citizens were compelled to walk several kilometers on foot.
