MULTAN: Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab Captain (R) Saqib Zafar has said that work is underway on more than 2,000 development projects at a cost of 240 billion rupees in South Punjab. These projects include 1548 ongoing and 443 new projects.
He was addressing the review meeting about the plans of the annual development program. The administrative secretaries of South Punjab participated in the meeting. Captain R. Saqib Zafar while addressing the meeting said that all the secretaries should monitor closely to complete the projects within the stipulated period and ensure 100% utilization of the released funds. Said that there should be no compromise on high construction standards on the projects and the guidelines of the government regarding development projects should be followed. While briefing the meeting on this occasion, it was told that 541 in Multan Division, 439 in Bahawalpur and DG Khan Division.
Work is underway on 502 projects. South Punjab Secretary Education Dr. Ehtesham Anwar, Secretary Services Nosheen Malik, Secretary Livestock Nasir Jamal Hotiana, Secretary Board of Revenue Tanveer Iqbal Tabasim, Secretary Forests Sarfraz Magsi, Secretary Agriculture Saqib Ali Attil and Secretary Health Mohammad Iqbal participated while Secretary P&D Aftab Pirzada gave a briefing about development projects.
