PESHAWAR (INP): Secretary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Afzal Latif has said that 200 schools have been evacuated from the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and 700 more educational institutions were still to be vacated.

He also urged the displaced families to admit their children in schools.

Talking to media persons on Thursday, Afzal Latif said that KP government has asked the IDPs to vacate the school buildings and Rs3000 will be deducted from the announced package of those families which will continue to reside in government school buildings as a house rent.

He said that most of IDPs families were staying in government schools of Bannu, Karak and Lakki Marwat districts.

The secretary education urged the IDPs families to admit their children in schools and said that no certificate or other documents would be sought for them for admission.

Afzal Latif said teachers among the IDPs will also be appointed in different schools on temporary basis so that they can earn respectable livelihood for them and families till their repatriation.
