Indian Army personnel were killed in two separate incidents in occupied Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the first incident took place in Baramulla where an Indian Army personnel ended his life by shooting himself with a service rifle.
Hearing the sound of gunfire, when other Indian Army personnel reached the scene, they found Lt. Naik Banwar Lal Saran lying in a pool of blood.
The body was brought to the hospital where after necessary procedures, the body was sent to the officer’s native village in Rajasthan. The reason for the suicide could not be revealed.
Meanwhile, a Havaldar who was seriously injured during a military operation in Jammu region last month succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the Havaldar was not revealed. The body was quietly sent to his native area from the military hospital.
It should be remembered that suicides are common among Indian soldiers in occupied Kashmir due to mental stress and low morale.
