Patriot Web Desk: As the blistering heat wave continues parts of Lahore have been without electricity for up to 16 hours making life miserable for the citizens. In Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat area citizens took to the streets in protest against unannounced 16 hours loadshedding, the protestors also attacked Liaqatabad Sub Division office and set fire to the furniture, the staff was forced to flee the premises.
Citizens have complained that Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) doesn’t listen to there complaints and added that the helpline numbers provided on the bills are never answered and it has left them with no option but to protest on the streets. Later, the police also arrested two protesting citizens.
