SUKKUR: At least 12 criminals on Friday have been arrested by the police who were involved in the murder of secretary general of Jamait Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Sindh, Dr Khalid Soomro.
Reportedly, two criminals have confessed that they let the murderers of the JUI-F leader stay with them in return for some money. They also said that the murderers could belong to Punjab and Balochistan upon which police teams have been dispatched to both the provinces. The police have told that according to the forensic report of the bullets fired at Dr Soomro, Chinese weaponry was used for the attack. Police authorities are positive that they would arrest the criminals within 48 hours. Separately, a demonstration of protest by JUI-F was done on Numaish Chowrangi against the killing of Dr Khalid Soomro in Sukkur and the attack on JUI-F chief. Agencies
