BARA: Security forces on Thursday killed seven militants and injured 15 others in Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency in air strikes.
According to Security sources, the Jet aircraft of Pakistan military fired shells at hideouts of suspected militants in TirahValley and killed at least seven suspected terrorists and injured 15 others.
Seven hideouts of the terrorist were also destroyed in the strikes.
Pakistan Army began operation Zarb-e-Azb in the month of July 2014 in the North Waziristan Agency after a bloody raid on KarachiAirport ended faltering peace talks between the government and militants.
North Waziristan is a major base for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which began its campaign against the state in 2007 and also provides shelter to a number of foreign militant groups.
According to the stats revealed by Pakistan Army more than a thousand militants have been killed and 86 soldiers are martyred since the start of the operation.
