ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman Senate of Pakistan along with a delegation of Senate has reached Oman on a four-day official visit on Sunday.
The invitation of this visit was extended by Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al-Manthri, Chairman of the State Council. Other members of the delegation include Senators Kalsoom Perveen, Dilawar Khan, Momin Khan Afridi, Moula Bux Chandio and Federal Minister for Science and Technology Muhammad Azam Khan Swati.
The delegation, headed by Chairman Senate, later in the afternoon, was also invited to witness the Military Parade as Special guests which was presided over by Sultan Qaboos Bin Said al Said to mark the 48th National Day of Oman.
The delegation includes meetings with several senior officials in the Sultanate besides meeting with leadership of the Upper and Lower Houses of Oman and signing of a memorandum of understanding between the upper houses on parliamentary cooperation and exchange of parliamentary expertise along with meeting parliamentary friendship groups of the two
houses.
The Chairman of the State Council had undertaken a visit to Pakistan in January 2017 where he was given a warm and same has been reciprocated. The visit comes within the framework of positive bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Pakistan, and the two countries’ keenness to strengthen the existing cooperation between them in several
