LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday has lashed out at Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif for publishing his pictures on laptop scheme and health cards.
During a hearing at Supreme Court (SC) Lahore registry, CJP asked Chief Secretary that why Shehbaz Sharif is printing his pictures on the projects initiated by nation’s money.
Chief Secretary said that these projects were launched due to struggles of Shehbaz Sharif over which, the CJP directed him to submit report including Punjab CM’s statement in the case.
The CJP said that the ruling party should advertise its activities from its own money rather than tax-payers money. “Earlier people use to serve the masses silently but now there is a trend to advertise everything,” he said. He said that billions were spent on orange line projects but there seems to be no attention on health sector of the province.
“Orange Line and metro projects should be made but the health should be the priority of the government,” he said and further asked as to how many times the chief minister and his team, had visited the hospitals and why should he not visit hospitals.
