Patriot Web Desk: Parliament is no more than a rubber stamp, whether its the issues pertaining to new taxes, ordinances or a policy matter it is decided outside the parliament this was state by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Andleeb Abbas while speaking to Sardar Khan Niazi in Roze News program Sachi Baat. She said that the ruling party has a rigged majority in the parliament and the voice of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf is not heard. She said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is the only party that is raising voice against the status quo.
She however appreciated the Government for their mediation efforts in the Saudi Arabia-Iran tensions but at the same time said that the before leaving the Government should have taken the Parliament into confidence. She also demanded that the Government must tell the Parliament regarding the decisions taken during the visit to Iran and Saudi Arabia. She also demanded to know the role of Pakistan in the 34-nation military alliance. She also asked whether Pakistan has tried to convince Saudi Arabia to include Iran in the 34-nation military alliance which Pakistan is also a part of.
Sardar Khan Niazi seconded the thoughts expressed by Andleeb Abbas and said that in an ideal situation the Parliament should have been taken into confidence but nonetheless the move to mediate between Iran and Saudia Arabia is a credit to the Government. He however added that upon return Parliament should be briefed about the visit.
