Nawaz Money laundering allegations: Senate body summons NAB chairman

ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice on Tuesday summoned National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal today over allegations of money laundering in India on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

Sources said that a meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice over NAB’s controversial statement will be held today with Committee chairman Chaudhry Ashraf in chair.

The committee will review point of order presented by Rana Hayat, who had submitted Point or Order over the money laundering of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif.

The committee will also review Legal Practitioners and Bar Council Amendment Bill 2018, while 30th amendment in the constitution will also be discussed in the meeting. NNI
