ISLAMABAD : The National Assembly and Senate Standing Committees on Defence Tuesday visited at the forward post Qabranwali, Sector Neza Pir, LOC under the Chairmanship of Shaikh Rohale Asghar MNA and Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed.
The lawmakers were briefed on the prevailing situation at LOC in detail. The Committees were informed that 2200 times, Indian Army did cease fire violation and targeted the civil population living across the LOC in the current year. The main purpose of cease-fire violations by the Indian forces is to divert the attention of the International Community from the atrocities against the innocent Kashmiries in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. The Committees were also briefed about the causalities of military men and civilian. The Members of the committees also made interaction with the Army jawans deployed there on the forward post and appreciated them on protecting the frontiers of the country.
The members also visited the Chakothi-Ori crossing point and were briefed over the civilian and trade service between AJK and Indian Occupied Kashmir in detail. Thereafter the parliamentarians visited the trade facilitation center established at Chakothi and the D.G Trade and Traveling Authority briefed them on the travelling of civilians and trade services between the AJK and Indian Occupied Kashmir in detail.
