ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice Mr. Javed Iqbal said NAB said that NAB is taking serious measures to recover and bring back the looted money of thousands affectees of Muzarba and Musharka scandals. NAB has not only arrested 34 accused persons and cases against them are under trial in various accountability courts.
Addressing Khuli Ketchery, at NAB headquarters here, Chairman NAB said that elimination of corruption and recovery of looted money is our foremost priority across the board. The Chairman NAB listen the complaints of complainants individually; who came from across the country to register their complaints. Chairman assured redressal of complaints by reviewing each complaint as per law and in light of evidence so that the culprits could be taken to the task. The Chairman NAB after taking coveted responsibilities had announced while addressing NAB officers to personally listen the complaints of the oppressed personally.
The Khuli Kechery was in continuation of series of such Ketcheries held last Thursday of every month. The chairman issues on spot orders for resolving the complaints. All regional heads of NAB also listen the complaints on last Thursday of every month at their respective areas. This has enhanced people’s confidence on NAB. People laud chairman’s corruption elimination efforts.
Chairman NAB has turned the institution into a viable institution duly acknowledged by national and international reputable organizations. He directed officials to ensure concluding white collar mega corruption cases within prescribed time frame. Complaint record of complaints should be computerized in order to track down status of their complaints. He said no laxity will be tolerated.PR
