All roads leading to Qadri’s house sealed
LAHORE, (INP): Dozens of containers have been overnight transported to Faisal Chowk of the city to block pathways leading to Model Town, where Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s Minhaj-ul-Quran International Secretariat is situated.
At least 23 containers have been placed on a road leading to Jinnah Hospital Lahore, the sources said.
Sources said that all the exit/ entry roads to Model Town and Faisal Town have been completely sealed and additional contingents of police deployed to deny PAT taking out their announced Revolution March to Islamabad on August 14.
On the other hand, Dr. Qadri’s baton wielding male and female workers are also getting ready to defy the government’s besiege laid around them by breaching and breaking the barriers at all cost. With an ominous standoff looming, the police under the shield of containers is ready with teargas shells and other logistics and the workers wearing goggles and gas masks standing guard across the containers to protect their leader.
Addressing a press conference late night here, PAT spokesman Qazi Faiz said that no matter how much of containers placed and police deployed, the revolution could not be thwarted and it would begin on August 14 from Minhajul Quran Secretariat.
Qazi Faiz asserted the Inqilab March, under all circumstances, will leave Model Town on August 14, adding the containers placed by the government around the city, cannot check the pace of the unwavering workers.
Responding a query regarding the threats to the life of Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, the PAT leader remarked the activists knew how to protect their leader, adding the workers were brimming with passion with regard to Inqilab March.
