DUBAI: The organizers of the Dubai Maker Faire 2019, which opens on 26-28 February 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, have revealed that the number of participating projects has reachedmore than 150submitted by innovators from different age groups.
This was announced during a press conference held in the presence of H.E. Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Muhairi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Secretary General of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation For Distinguished Academic Performance, along with Marwa Ibrahim Sahrawi Head of Innovation and Chairman of the Scientific Committee, and Amathil Mohammed GAyath, Acting Director for Public Information and Public Relations, and Chairman of the Media Committeeat Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum FoundationFor Distinguished Academic Performance.
Important events and activities held during last year’s exhibition were reviewed and it was pointed out during the press conference that the participation of major companies has contributed to the remarkable increase of registered participants for this year’s edition, owing to the fact that project owners want to share their brilliant ideas and innovation with official representatives of huge companies specializing in adopting innovative projects and ideas.
The launch of the exhibition coincides with the Month of Innovation, as part of the efforts to promote a culture of innovation by supporting innovators, craftsmen, amateurs, engineers, students and various groups of society.
